LG has planned to roll out the version of its on LG Optimus One as Optimus C at the US carrier, Cricket Wireless. According to source, Cricket is going to release the LG Optimus C Android smartphone this week for about $199.
The Cricket LG Optimus C smartphone features a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display (multi-touch) with 262k colors support and 320 x 480 pixel resolution, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, 3.2MP camera, 600MHz processor, microSD card slot, 3.5mm headset jack, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, and runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The company has now announced plans to release Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update sometime this year.
